Week 3 updates here!

Another end to the week already! I'm sure I was telling you about last weeks update 5 minutes ago!

This week, we have been continuing our work on settings. I wrote my own first paragraph of our experiences leaving our cave to share with the children - and they said my work was boring!! They said I had started my sentences off the same and had used the words 'I can/could' to start off my sentences and this sentence starter was 'in the bin'! The class then started up-levelling my work and we were so impressed! We had lots f adjectives in there, propositions - they were fabulous. We can't wait to start publishing our work next week!

In maths this week it's all been about the 8's! We have been working out a process to help us learn about the 8's - we have worked out that we can times by 4 and double our answers. We are going to be continuing to secure our knowledge on these next week too.

We have been continuing our work on the Stone Age and rocks in our Science - we have been looking at igneous rocks in particular, how these are formed and where we can find them.

On Friday this week it is year 5 Takeover day! We have new teachers teaching us (which I'm sure the class will be pleased about!)

Below, please find attached next weeks spelling list and a copy of the letter sent out on Friday for the Christmas production.

As always, thank you so much for your support.
