Week 3

Year 1 have been thinking about charity this week as we launched our fundraising event to support the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.  We invited Georgia in from the charity and she talked to us about fundraising and how the money we raise will help children at the hospital.  We wrote a letter to inform parents and we organised resources that pupils will need to take on our fundraising challenge.  All of the pupils were really enthusiastic about the challenge we set, and we hope we raise lots for the hospital.  Georgia is going to come back after the Easter break and bring a very special guest with her!

We also thought about mental health when we took part in Drop Everything and Run! for Sport Relief.  We took part in six different physical activities and considered the fun we were having and the positive effects on our mood and well being.

Have a lovely weekend.
