Another amazing week down!

In our writing this week, we have been focussing on adding conjunctions. We have been writing a description of our own inventor, using our bank of adjectives and coming up with some very descriptive sentences to describe our characters! I can't wait for these to be transferred into our own stories based on Izzy Gizmo. 

In our maths, we have continued our work on greater than and less than. We have been working really hard challenging ourselves and moving up those chilli challenges! 

In guided reading this week we have done it a little differently. We have been doing our activities as whole class, with a different focus each day. We have looked at vocabulary, predictions, explanations and even worked hard on our inference. Our word of the day for Tuesday was inference and we discussed how we can use the text and/or the pictures to help us with things that are not made obvious. We had fun acting some emotions out! 

Finally (!), year 4 are supporting MacMillan Cancer Support and hosted their coffee morning on Friday. We had lots of fun decorating our own cupcakes. Thank you to everyone who donated to this, the total will be added on to the coffee morning.
