We went squishie mad in Week 6

Well what can we say about week 6...

Firstly a big thank you must go to all the parents and carers who must have wondered what was happening when the children came home from school covered in flour. We hope our enterprise week idea didn't cause too much extra washing!!! The children were absolutely amazing during Enterprise week. We carried out market research in teams before deciding on the types of stress ball squishies we wanted to make. Then came the flour. Yes, both Mr Webster and Mrs Bingham had a new friend in Henry to Hoover who made a few appearances so we didn't upset  Mr Wellock because the amount of flour in our classroom was unbelievable. A huge thank you to Mrs Stockwell who helped us gain a discount at Asda as this really helped our budget go further!! The children recognised their strengths and decided which team they would like to work on so that we had had enough squishies for our stall. A huge thank you to all the Year 4 children who showed great enthusiasm and teamwork to make our stall a success. It was such a great team effort which resulted in us selling out!!!!!!

We continued with our maths work and became line graph and angle experts to make sure we have everything covered before moving up to Year 5.

Speaking of Year 5, the children all had a great day during 'move up day'. Mrs Walker and Mr Webster said all of the children showed a really positive attitude and they are looking forward to working with them in September . We will miss them so much but we can see they are ready for the next part of their journey at Whitegate End!!

Remember that on Monday 16th July we have our final parents evening should you wish to discuss your child's final report. Please send in the letter enclosed in the report or just pop in to school to make an appointment.

Tuesday afternoon is when we plan to go to the park for the afternoon. Due to the continued good weather can you please make sure the children have a spare set of clothes to change into and the appropriate sun protection including an additional drink and snack.

Thanks for another great week everyone.

Mrs Bingham and Mr Webster.
