Changes to natural life!
In Year 1 we are going to be looking at changes to natural life. Our focus will be on the change from Queen to King.
We will be learning about who Queen Elizabeth II was, What is a coronation, Who is King Charles III and the changes to the succession line.
Our reading sessions will follow the Little Wandle Scheme.
In maths, we will focus on place value, addition and subtraction. Place value will start with numbers up to 20 but we will look at developing this further by moving up to 50.
For science, we will be looking at plants and how to categorise animals - this will follow the White Rose science scheme.
In our writing, we will focus on creating a narrative piece of writing to describe what we would do if we were to be King for the day. This piece of writing will link to our story - The King's Pants.
