Our brand new topic for this half term is ... Twisted Tales - Grow a Beanstalk like Jack did! This topic is a science based topic and focuses on what plants need to grow and survive. We will also be focusing on a variety of traditional tales and then looking more closely at range of Twisted Tales. 

We are keeping our WOW starter a surprise for now but we will know how much you will enjoy it!

In our writing we will be focusing on three different texts throughout the half term, these are; The three little wolves and the big bad pig, The Tear Thief and The Flower. These texts are brilliant texts and I know you will enjoy reading and completing activities based around them.

In our maths we will be working on fractions to begin with and then learning how to tell the time. Both of these are maths skills we need throughout life and I know you will enjoy the range of activities planned around these units of work.

In our science work we will be learning all about plants and what plants need to survive. We will be growing our very own plants and learning how plants give out oxygen and take in carbon dioxide. 

In our history work we will be looking at how traditional tales began and some famous authors of these.

We know you will have a super half term and we cannot wait to start!
