Week 3
This week has been another busy week. All the Year 6 teaching team are so proud of the children for all their hard work this week.
In Science, we have been looking at the inheritance of characteristics from parents. We completed some amazing Mr Men and Little Miss family trees. The presentation of the work was absolutely fantastic and the children should be proud of the pieces of work they produced. We took this one step further on Thursday when we created 'offspring' using playdough. The children applied their learning and their creativity was very impressive. It was clear to see the children had taken on board new learning!!
In PHSE, we talked about emotional and physical changes to our body. All the children approached this in a very mature way. The children were given the opportunity to ask any questions and we will be following these up next week on a one to one basis. Should your child have any questions or worries about anything we discussed please just let us know and we can do what we can to help.
