Week 1
Happy New Year! Welcome back to a new term. Firstly we would like to thank you for all the lovely gifts we received at Christmas. It was very generous and very much appreciated by all staff.

We have started a brand new topic this week 'Shiver Me Timbers' . We have thought about what we already know about pirates and what we would like to find out about them. The children have learnt lots of new pirate vocabulary which they have transferred into the role play area when pretending to be pirates. New vocabulary includes :-
Ahoy - Hello
Booty - Treasure
Matey - Shipmate or friend
Hearties - Friends
Scallywag - Someone you don't trust
