Hello Year 1,
Wow, what a wonderful week it has been. I just want to say that after my first week in year 1 I am overwhelmed by how hard you are all working and how much progress you are making. You should all be very proud of yourselves.
This week we have been looking at using our number bond knowledge to add and substract. This was a little bit tricky at first but you have started to show that you are getting more confident day by day. In literacy we have been reading The Deep Dark Wood, you designed your own monster and now we are building toward writing our own story. You are doing so well at remembering your capital letters and full stops. A massive well done for all of the hard work getting to know Queen Elizabeth ii in Topic and for practising your Phonics every day.
Thank you for those that joined us for our Friday zoom assembly. We are so proud of all of you but a special well done to the following children:
