Oldham through the years!
In year 2 we are beginning the Spring term with a historical focus on our hometown of Oldham.
We will be learning all about the history of Oldham and it's amazing textile industry, and recapping our History knowledge and skills from year 1.
We will also be learning all about the Industrial Revolution and the impact of this on Oldham - linking this with the key dates and timeline.
In our writing we will be completing a piece of work around the book Leather Shoe Charlie. We will also be completing pieces of writing around the book the Tear Thief.
In our maths we will be focusing on our shape, space and measures. We will also be learning how to recognise fractions of shape, number and amounts.
In our reading sessions we will be completing our reading through the texts in the Little Wandle scheme.
In our science sessions we will be following the White Rose science scheme and looking at animals, materials, plants and scientific investigations.
