Week 4

This half term is flying by! Next week we are in school and then break up next Friday for half term!

We have managed to finish our letters of persuasion this week, and the content of the letters are brilliant! The children have worked really hard and their development in writing is clear to see from these letters. They have applied their tools that they have learnt over the year too, such as paragraphs, compound sentences.

In our maths we have been working hard on fractions. We have created our own fraction walls, and next week we are going to apply these to looking at equivalent fractions.

The times tables test is helping the children come on brilliantly! The times table test includes the 2,3,4,5,8 times tables which the children are expected to know by the end of year 3 and in readiness for year 4 it also includes the 6 times tables!

In class, we are busy growing our cress and sweet pea plants, we also planted some tomato and sunflower seeds so we are excited to watch them grow too!

Have a lovely weekend,

Just a quick reminder that school is closed next Thursday 23rd May due to the European elections.
