Week 1
What a busy first week back!
Our WOW starter this week was making our own Roman shields. We discovered that the Roman word for shield was 'scutum'. This was our first word of the day for the half term! We had great fun designing and making them, they are now proudly presented in our classroom.
We are so impressed with Year 4 this week! We have started our work on area in Maths. We have also started our new guided reading book 'How to train your Dragon'. This had the children hooked straight away with the authors use of fantastic description and humour.
Please remember our trip to Chester for the Romans is on Wednesday 11th March, a reminder text will be sent next week.
