Week 3

This week we have had a new addition to our unit!  We are pleased and excited to announce we have some pet fish. We have been thinking about what we will need to do in order to look after them properly. Together we thought about how they would need to be fed on a regular basis, that the fish tank would need to be cleaned and the water would need to be changed to keep the fish healthy and happy. We talked about the importance of not tapping on the glass as the fish would be scared. The children are very excited about naming the fish. We will keep you updated once the names have been decided.

This afternoon we have enjoyed foraging for natural objects  to enhance our Investigation Area. We had great fun exploring with our friends. Look at some of the things we found!

This week we have introduced the story sacks. These can be found in the cloakroom. If you would like to take one home with your child they are available every Thursday and are to be returned on the following Monday. We hope you enjoy reading the books and carrying out all the exciting activities that are provided with them.

Today we have launched the 'This Is Me' sack. One child from both reception and nursery will be chosen to take the sack home each week. If your child is chosen, please choose some things that are of interest for your child to share with their friends on Monday morning. The items will then be displayed in class and returned at the end of the week.

Thank you for all of your continuing support! We hope you all enjoy the sunshine this weekend!
