Week 2

We are having a very busy week so far! There have been a variety of different items left in the Investigation Area that belong to one of our teachers. The children have been encouraged to think of different questions to ask the adults in the setting to try and work out who they belong to.

We have been using split pins to create skeletons and making their joints move.

The children have been rolling playdough into snakes and creating their own pattern using the coloured jewels. They have been encouraged to talk through the pattern they have made.

Outside we have enjoyed hunting for bugs! We have ticked them off on our list once we have seen them.

We have really enjoyed dressing up for World Book Day this week. Miss O'Callaghan led an assembly in the hall and we were given the opportunity to show the other year groups our costumes. The year 6 children came to visit Early Years and read to  us in small groups.

Thank you to this weeks Secret Reader for coming in to read to us. We enjoyed listening to the story. If you are interested in being a Secret Reader please let us know.

Well done to this weeks dinosaur winners!
