Week 5

What a week we have had in year 6.

In maths we have been using our knowledge on place value to help us order, round and use negative numbers. A real strength of year 6 is the way that they always attempt a challenge before asking for help.

In writing we have been writing our report on the Blitz in Manchester. They are really using both their knowledge and success criteria to produce a quality piece of writing. We have also been learning about different word classes in GPS.

In science we have started looking at different theories of evolution. In true year 6 style this provoked a lot of questions and a great discussion.

In history we have been looking at a timeline of World War 2 and in computing we have been learning about how to stay safe online.

Remember homework is now uploaded onto Seesaw including spellings on a Friday and needs to be completed by Thursday.

Spelling tests are on a Friday.

Have a great weekend !
