Here is what we have been up to this week !
Wow we can't believe it is Thursday already. What a jam packed week in year 6! We started the week by having a circle time discussing our up coming challenges, introducing our topic which is'YOU CAN DO IT!'. In maths we have been revising key areas and had great fun completing activities both inside and outside the classroom (see the pictures below).
In literacy we have started to write a narrative based on Wonder (which the children loved!), we have spent the week building on our ability the be creative writers and create a setting in the readers head. We have also started our guided reading text of 'Holes'.
As part of our topic we have created mindfulness jars to simulate how our thoughts behave inside our heads. We will use these to help us over the coming weeks.
