Week 2
We have carried on with new things in year 3 this week.
We begun and ended the week with our new scheme, My Happy Mind. We will be continuing to do this throughout the year and this week we learnt about focusing our mind and training our brain. This was called neuroplasticity. Our activity to try this out was to write a sentence with our writing hand, then to try and write the sentence with our opposite hand. We found this super challenging!
We have also started our music sessions with Mrs Preen. These are on a Tuesday afternoon and we are going to be doing singing. This week, we created our own music using graphics.
In our science, we have classified rocks. We worked together in small groups and came up with different ways to classify them.
In our writing this week, we have continued our work on expanded noun phrases. The children have blown us away with their adjectives and improving my boring sentences. Their ideas have been great!
Homework will be uploaded onto seesaw on Monday, and we will be also uploading spellings next week too!
