Welcome back after a lovely half term rest! I hope you have had some amazing autumn fun with your family and friends.
I am sure you will all feel rested and ready for the next half term.
Our brand new topic is...
The Hairy Hooligans!
In this history based topic we will be looking at the history of the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings and how they impacted upon Britain today.
We will be learning all about Edward the Confessor and in his death in 1066. We will be using our researching skills to research the History of Britain linked to the Vikings and locating where the Vikings came from on a map. We will be comparing Anglo-Saxon and Viking life to the life of ours today.
In our writing we will be producing a non-chronological report all about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. We will also be writing a diary entry as a day in the life of a Viking.
In our guided reading we will be focusing upon non-fiction texts about the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings.
In our maths sessions we will be recapping and building upon our addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills.
We have a busy but amazing half term ahead everyone - so as always - let's reach for the stars!
