Our Royal Half Term
Our topic "We're the Kings and Queens of the Castle" has been a huge success. The children spent Thursday reflecting on their Sticky Learning, and their enthusiasm was amazing! We made a tally of favourite sticky learning, and here are the top 4:
Learning and writing the story of the Princess and the Pea;
Learning how to make pop up mechanisms;
Learning what happens at the coronation of a monarch;
Learning about split digraphs in phonics!
Year 1 were also bursting to find out about our topic after half term, and when they go into school on Friday, they might just find some clues!
I would like to say a big thank you to all parents and grandparents who helped with our family tree homework this week. The children loved sharing them and I was so impressed with the creativity when making them!
