What a busy time

Visits our of school

Year 1 have been all at sea and visited the Blue Planet Aquarium, they've been learning about life under the sea as part of their topic work and took the opportunity to see and feel some real life examples.

There's been a 'Rumble in the Jungle' in year 2, and the whole class visited Chester Zoo to see the animals.

This week has been music to the ears of parents and carers of children in year 3. Their hard work in learning how to to play the guitar has payed off with a fantastic performance at the Bridgewater Hall with the world famous Halle Orchestra.


Royal Exchange Partnership

As part of our partnership work with the Royal exchange theatre Year 6 went to see a Performance of Amanda Dalton's play'Powder Monkey' It tackles some challenging issues, but the children responded well and asked the cast a series of questions following the performance.

This week and next sees 4 classes participating in full day drama workshops with Liam McCormick from the theatre. The children are investigating ways to create people and places that will benefit their writing work in the future.

Reception Class Assembly

The reception class assembly 'Bug's got Talent' was a huge success. The children entertained the school and their parents, carerers, families and friends with singing and dancing. Well done on a fantastic performance Reception.

'New Parents' Evening

It was wonderful to meet the parents, carers and children who will be joining us in September. Everyone got a chance to hear about Whitegate End, sample our fantastic school dinners and visit the EYFS building to look at the sort of activities being planned for September.
